Temperature Converter (°C, °F, K)
Temperature converter: Celsius to Fahrenheit, Fahrenheit to Celsius, kelvin and Rankine, with formulas and a conversion table.
How to use this calculator
- Type the value you want to convert.
- Choose the unit you are converting from and the one you want.
- Read the result, or the full table of equivalent units below.
Temperature scales have different zero points, so converting needs an offset, not just a factor: °F = °C × 9/5 + 32 and K = °C + 273.15.
Kelvin and Rankine are absolute scales that start at absolute zero (−273.15 °C). Use kelvin in every gas-law or thermodynamics formula.
Conversion formula
°F = °C × 9/5 + 32 · K = °C + 273.15
