The finiquito is owed whenever a job ends: pending wages, proportional vacation with its 25 % premium and the proportional aguinaldo. After an unjustified dismissal, the liquidación adds 3 months of integrated wages and the seniority premium of 12 days per year (with the daily wage capped at twice the minimum wage), plus 20 days per year if the employer refuses to reinstate you.

Separation pay is free of income tax up to 90 UMA per year of service ($10,557.90 per year in 2026).
